This video is obviously a comical view on social networking sites. However, the past years have changed how we, as a people, communicate to one another. A time existed when new networking sites had been developed, yet people still communicated through everyday experiences with one another. Only since the late 1990s and early 2000s has the concept of what we refer to as "social networking" changed significantly.
Mesche, I agree with your post. Social networking sits have changed the way people communicate with each other. People do not talk face to face as much as they used to. We find things out by going on sites like Facebook and looking at people's pictures and updates. The good thing about social networks is they make it easier for people to stay in contact with each other. I really enjoyed your post. Mary Ann Reday.
ReplyDeleteThis is funny. Communication has become so unsocial. People are basically talking to a computer or phone. It is good for those who live far away to keep in touch.
ReplyDeleteGreat video clip. I remember when AOL was popular and was amazed with the instant messaging option - this was a new way to communicate with friends and family. Chatrooms and e-mails were new avenues of communication for everyone. Now with the ability of texting, e-mails are becoming old-fashioned. Due to this modern communication technology, society is really becoming too depended on it and we are losing basic communication skills such as one-on-one communication.
ReplyDeletethis was a great video clip and gave a review about social networking. just looking back at what we had back in the beginning. now we have messaging, email face time, video chat and so on. just when technology is advancing many people are using it to much and taking away the face to face aspect away. many people just stay on the computer all the time and that is not helping out.
ReplyDeleteGood clip. Shows how these things won't last forever. Like MySpace, i believe Facebook might die out if another better networking site comes out.
