Second Life Bar Scene

Second life bars with all the fun of drinking with the feeling of a hangover. You may be thinking how is this possible, well let me tell you. Basically second life is a virtual world where you can completely change your identity such as sex, race, or background, or you can make yourself taller, skinnier, and even a basketball. in this world there is no limit to what you can be. let your mind explore not only with your physical features but also there is no limitations on where you can travel. For instance you can be visiting venice italy one second and be visiting niagra falls the next. So there is a cornicopia of places to explore, people to meet, and situations dar beyond that of which the human mind can percieve to be real.

    It is amazing how real this site is. Being on the site and communicating with other people makes you feel like you are actually there!

    Second life in bar, it is very nice to go some places you can go in your reall life. But if you sink into it too much, you have isolated from reall world.

    Second life is a great get away from reality to a fake reality. You can isolate from everyone but communicate with everyone all at the same time.

    I feel like this may be psychologically unhealthy and be the result of an unsatisfied life. Instead of becoming the people who they want to be, users use this website to take the easy way out and get the temporary satisfaction of being able to portray this ideal identity to others.- PM

    Phanthom 1 Second Life is definitely more along the lines of entertainment in present time. The graphics are cool and it is neat to be able to see yourself talking to friends face to face. However, Second Life can never compete with actually seeing someone in person or going to Niagara falls in person. You cannot feel the spray from the falls on Second Life. People who spend lots of time on Second Life have too much time on their hands. Thank you for the great post. Mary Ann Reday.

    Second Life can be a fun outlet for people, but they shouldn't get too caught up in it. The problem with these kinds of social networking is that some people use it to replace something that may be missing in their own lives. There is less chance of rejection or judgment in Second Life - if you don't like the situation you are in just transport to someplace new and start over. In real life you must deal with the situation, you can't run away.

    With technology today we are able to have a website like 2nd Life that allows you to live in a virtual world of some kind of species. Without technology evolving into what it is today we would not have any of this great inventions.

    With technology making things more fun and better I feel that technology can hurt a person too with being caught up with technology. With the technology of todat a person does not have to leave their house because they have it all in front of them like a Tv, phone,computer and more. I feel like a person can seperate themselves from society because of it. They can get wrapped up in it really quick I have a friend that did this.

    with the use of second life, its something that someone can use and be something else they are not. yes people do still go out and hangout with friends, but with second life people can be more dependent on it and feel better about them selfs buts its only a computer and no on can judge them. i think people can get sucked into it and just forget about the outside world.

    My experience with Second Life was interesting. Not trying to be a critic, I just do not see the facination. It is something diferent, and after doing research it is full of positive possibilities for the enhancement of mankind. In my opinion, avid users should be careful of being lured into a fantasy world.

    I really didn't see what's so great about Second Life. It was actually frustrating to get it to work properly. I think this is another way to get people stuck to a computer all day and not be productive in real life ( which matters).
