Life before computers

Life before computers must of been a drag because in order to find out about what was happening in the world we had to go out and explore our surroundings for information. In today's times we can just go and the internet and just look it up on google and find anything we ever wanted to know in seconds, whereas back twenty years ago it could take hours but you always found out the minimal details the first time. Also if we wanted to go communicate with someone we didn't have Facebook or twitter to send messages in an instant so we had to talk to them face to face, which was really good because we get so many text confused because you can't feel the emotion behind what someone is saying.

  1. I remember my mother using a typewriter, when I was a little child. She would have to use white out to correct a mistake, and retype an entire paper if a few too many corrections were made. Some screen writers and authors still use typewriters. They say the click clack of the keys is therapeutic. Have you ever used a typewriter , or a word processor machine?

  2. Phanthoms of Technology and Phanthoms1 I agree and disagree with your post. I remember life before computers. It was a really different world. However, we did not know any better. Things like cell phones and computers in every house were things of the future. We were able to survive though. We actually talked more in person and on the telephone. I think there was more communication between people back then. We had no choice but to talk to each other. However, I have been able to adapt to the changes in technology. I would not give up my cell phone or my laptop computer in order to go back to the days before they existed. Both generations had their good and bad things about them. Great post. Mary Ann Reday.
