Promotion with the use of online networking sites has become increasingly popular for businesses. With the millions of users whom use social netwoking sites, businesses see this as good advertising. As someone logs on to their userface, a blurb appears on the right with a tiny picture and a few words. This catches the eyes of users in their home and at work everytime they use their networking site. Facebook, Mysapce, Tagged, and other sites are changing the way businesses market to their consumers.
That is interesting cause even this eblogger has a tab for advertising. I guess every company wants the piece of pie from social sites. It is the best way to grab people's attention on the internet. The only thing a person has to do is click on it and immediately they are connected to the website. Then they might be persuaded to purchase the product or sign a contract. What a capitalist society the internet has become.
ReplyDeleteThis way of advertising works! Things popping out at the viewer are sure to get the attention. I know on YouTube, if a person clicks on the advertisement, the person who's page that was on gets paid for it (about $3k a week!!)
ReplyDeleteI have worked in advertising for a few years. These years were extremely productive, since they granted me with indispensible experience in many advertisement-related fields. As soon as I worked in a publishing company, I had a chance to assume a leadership role in sales meetings, inspiring and motivating other employees. Every day I handled a tremendous amount of work, starting with dealing with representatives of printing houses from different countries and ending up with making decisions in the field of ad designs and planning of new editorials. Promotion, production, merchandising, purchasing, consumer behavior, and financing are just a few of the responsibilities handled by me in the company. As a result, I realized that advertising is an extremely rewarding field that can let one make a career, especially with the help of the newly emerging advertising fields such as networking sites.
ReplyDeleteI have noticed that alot more advertisements are everyway. They are even pointed to my likes. Ads get frustrating espically on youtube when you want to watch a video, you gotta watch 3 ads in order to watch them. Theses are new ways to connect with counsmers since less and less are watching tv.
ReplyDeleteI recently read a great in-depth article about the financial gains of Facebook and Twitter, in regards to advertising. With over twenty million users, Facebook's "likes" are more profitable than Twitter's "tweets". )Twitter only has five million users.) However, Kim Kardashian reportedly earns ten thousand dollars per tweet in contracted endorsements. She has two million followers, so her tweets are reaching a lot of people. Do you think her tweets are worth ten stacks? The following is from a December 2009 MailOnline article.
ReplyDeleteAccording to a report out this week, the U.S. socialite allegedly commands up to $10,000 (£6,300) for every tweet she posts on her Twitter account as part of her contract with in-stream advertising company Ad.ly.
Kim, 29, is the highest earner on the company's books and the most popular on their roster of celebrity tweeters.
